Mike Matei Is Creating Game Reviews, Live Streams And More!

It's safe to assume quite a number of you are familiar with and if not then you're probably familiar with the series which seemed to skyrocket the sites popularity; James Rolfe's ‘Angry Videogame Nerd'. It's unfortunate that James has already come back from filming and will now completely overshadow Mike because he's such a dick like that, but those who are truly comedic connoisseurs will continue to acknowledge what lovely contributions that Mike Matte-Finish has made to his YouTube channel in his absence.

MT: Thank you very much from Retrospekt for taking the time out for this interview Mike and we all look forward to where both you and James take the site in the future. I love all these games series. The Angry Video Game Nerd along with the Nostalgia Critic, made a background cameo appearance in the anime Zettai Karen Children: The Unlimited.

The Nerd reviews, tells and recites his memories of reading the Nintendo Power magazine. I know that it's just another let's play on the internet and it's not a revolutionary show or anything, but it's fun, especially when they play games I had no idea existed.

In 2007, the series became a program on ScrewAttack and GameTrailers, where it was renamed The Angry Video Game Nerd to prevent trademark issues with Nintendo, and to allow Rolfe to also review games from non-Nintendo consoles. Beyond that, watch Cinemassacre's Monster Madness to get more examples of great horror flicks we love.

The AVGN plays the NES game Friday the 13th based on the horror movie. But, just like in the games that the nerd finds himself tirelessly trudging through, you'll come across many reasons to swear like a sailor. I like his movie reviews, but not his video game glitches.

James Rolfe himself appeared as the Nerd in various gaming and internet conventions. Soon, Mike Matei Rolfe released a review of The Karate Kid game which was the first episode where Rolfe's character is introduced as The Angry Nintendo Nerd”. 6. I never really liked Megaman 7 and those earlier MMX games (never played the later ones).

The AVGN reviews Home Alone 2: Lost in New York (NES), Shaq Fu (SNES), Far Cry Vengeance (Wii), Super Monkey Ball: Banana Blitz (Wii), and Boogie (Wii). During their playthrough of Sonic '06 , Game Grumps went on an extended riff about Matei's simple style of comedy (shown below).

This was pretty much the long awaited response to the previous Inspector Gadget DVD review that everybody was waiting for, and people knew the moment that they saw the video in the subscribers list that they'd be in for a treat that they'd never expect.

While we continue to follow our initial goal, we also try to bring the latest news on gadgets, mobile games, movies and TV shows. Angry Video Game Nerd Adventures features plenty of exciting memorable off-the-wall moments that'll surely stimulate your nerdy side.

I do that for all 31 reviews, and then hand the entire thing over to James on a large hard drive. Mike Matei (b. 1980) is an actor, artist, and executive producer of Cinemassacre Productions, owned by his best friend James Rolfe , who he works with on writing, editing, and starring in a multitude of series.
